Lunch was ridiculous. We lunched at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce which looked more like a spa resort with its lap pool, terrace, sushi bar and incredible view. Something I really love about this culture is the amount of time allotted to meals. We sat for 2 hours talking and eating and drinking. There was a Turkish Republic flag flying near the coast which quickly became the topic of conversation because the flag moved up and down constantly while we were there. My table had a great time creating reasons why that flag might be moving up and down. I said "Maybe they are ready to order!" James, a fellow Texan, chipped in "Yeah, bring my sopapillas!" We had a great time explaining to the others the concept of the Panchos restuarant chain, especially to Orhan. Now, when he sees the Turkish flag, he points and says "Panchos!" Loves it:)
Factoid: Turkish school children learn English throughout their entire education.
